- The tune of this song was adapted from the song "Ya Mustafa", which was composed by the Egyptian musician Mohammed Fawzi and popularized by the French version recorded by Bob Azzam in 1960. The same tune was also used by Ravi in the song "Kya Teri Mehfil Hai Sanam" ("China Town", 1962) and by Nadeem - Shravan in "Ya Dilruba Ya Dilruba" ("Aatish", 1994).[1][2][3]
- R.D. Burman had used a variation of the horn section in the second interlude of this song earlier for the "Shakal Introduction Theme" instrumental piece in the film "Shaan" (1980). This horn section may have inspired the tune of the first line of the song "Deewana Dil Deewana" ("Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa", 1994).[4][5]
