- Naushad always had misgivings about Kishore Kumar as a singer. After ignoring him for most of his career, Naushad used Kishore's voice for the first and only time for this song. However, the song was not filmed and did not appear in the movie. Sadly, Kishore Kumar was not even listed in the film's opening credits.
- Naushad adapted the tune of the Hindi film song "Hum Aur Tum Aur Ye Khushi" ("Alibaba", 1940) for this song. The original song was composed by Anil Biswas, written by Aah Sitapuri, and sung by Surendra and Wahidan Bai.[1]
