- This was a remixed version of a song originally composed by R.D. Burman for the film "Mahaan" (1983). It sampled the vocals of Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhosle from the original song and used the tune of its mukhda but had original antaras. Additionally, the song's title was used as the film's tagline.[1]
- Shemaroo, which had acquired the rights to the film "Mahaan" (1983) from its producers Satya Chitra International, filed a petition to restrain the screening of the film claiming that its use of this song infringed their copyright. The producers of this film claimed that they were within their rights to use the song based on an agreement they had entered into with the music label, Universal. The court ruled that Universal did not have the right to permit the use of the song by others. However, the court refused to stop the screening of the film stating that the petition was delayed unnecessarily and that Shemaroo should have filed it earlier when they had come to know about the use of their song in this film.[2]
