Trivia

    Album

  • The tune of the Hindi film song "Kamata Hoon Bahut Kuch Par" ("Adhikar", 1954) may have been adapted from the instrumental music composed by Saraswati Devi for the title credits of this film.[1]
  • Ashok Kumar wanted to remake this film under the banner of Filmistan. He intended to cast Nalini Jaywant and his brother Kishore Kumar in the roles played by Devika Rani and him in the original film. However, the plan did not materialise due to copyright issues.[MR70]

    Song

  • Hari Base Sakal Sansara - This song may have inspired the popular Hindi film bhajan "Man Tarpat Hari Darshan Ko Aaj" ("Baiju Bawra", 1952).[2]
  • Choodi Main Laaya Anmol Re - The tune of this song appears to have been adapted from Amir Khusro's Sufi composition "Chhaap Tilak Sab Chheeni".
