- After a spectacular debut in "Sohag Raat" (1948), Geeta Bali's career had floundered when she signed on a number of films indiscriminately. At this time, she went back to Kidar Sharma, the director who had launched her. Kidar Sharma cast her in this 1950 film which he was about to launch. The director had to assuage the apprehensions of his lead man, Raj Kapoor, who eventually came around when he recognised Geeta Bali's potential. The film went on to become a big hit and Geeta Bali's career came back on track with it.[MR15]

- Ghir Ghir Ke Aasman Par Chhaane Lagin Ghatayen - This was a Rajkumari solo in the film's music records. However, the film version of the song featured a second, unidentified female singer, possibly Asha Bhosle. While most of this singer's lines were sung in chorus, she had a couple of solo lines in the third antara.
