Trivia

    Album

  • This was a rare Hindi film in which the director, producer and writer credits were shared by a married couple, filmmaker Shahid Lateef and Urdu novelist Ismat Chughtai.

    Song

  • Aa Mohabbat Ki Basti Basaayenge Hum - Anil Biswas invited Ashok Kumar and Dilip Kumar for a music session while making music for this film and played them this song. Ashok felt that Talat Mahmood would do justice to the song and Dilip recommended Mukesh for it. When Anil Biswas revealed that he had already picked Kishore Kumar for the male vocals, he was received with scepticism. Dilip Kumar told Biswas that he didn't think Kishore would be able to pull off such a serious song. In the end, Biswas prevailed and the song became a big hit.[MR70]
  • Husn Bhi Hai Udas Udas - Writer Madhav Moholkar requested Kishore Kumar to sing this song at a stage show once. The singer told him that it was a difficult song and that he needed to rehearse it before singing. Kishore then invited the writer to his next concert and sang it as requested.[MR6]
