Ram Sampath is a composer, producer and musician who works primarily in advertising. He began his career in composing at the age of 17.
With over 5000 jingles to his credit, Ram has been the music composer and producer of chartbuster albums like Shaan’s “Loveology” (1996) and “Tanha Dil” (2000), Shiamak Davar (1997), “Sona” (2006) for wife and pop singer Sona Mohapatra and the eponymous album for his band called “Colourblind” (1998). He has also worked with international acts like INXS and Justin Timberlake.

Ram Sampath has composed the songs and background score for movies including “Delhi Belly” (2011), “Luv Ka The End” (2011), “Saamna” (2009), “Aagey Se Right” (2009), “Khakee” (2004) and “Let’s Talk” (2001). In “Delhi Belly” he has sung the tracks “Bhaag D.K.Bose”, “Tere Siva” and “Switty”. He has also contributed lyrics to the song “I Hate You (Like I Love You)” in the film.
His work in “Delhi Belly” won him a Filmfare Awards nomination for Best Music Director and three Color Screen Awards nominations for Best Background Music, Director and Playback.
