Sanjeev-Darshan (Sanjeev Rathod and Darshan Rathod) are brothers and also a music director duo in the Hindi film industry. They are the sons of Hindi film music director Shravan Rathod, who is half of the superhit music director duo of the 1990s, Nadeem-Shravan.
Born into a family steeped in musical tradition, their grandfather, Pandit Chhaturbhuj Rathod was a patron of classical music. Singers Vinod and Roop Kumar Rathod are their father’s brothers.
Sanjeev-Darshan came into the limelight in 1999 with the success of their musical score in the movie “Mann”. Written by Sameer, the tracks “Mera Mann”, “Chaha Hai Tujhko”, “Kehna Hai Tumse”, “Kali Nagin Ke Jaisi”, “Khushiyan Aur Gham”, “Kyon Chhupate Ho”, “Nasha Yeh Pyar Ka” and “Tinak Tin Tana” were sung by Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan, Anuradha Paudwal, Hema Sardesai and Kavitha Krishnamurthy.
They went on to do movies like “Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai” (2000), “Style” (2001), “Kitne Door Kitne Paas” (2002), “Excuse Me” (2003), “Fun” (2005), “Mohabbat Ho Gayi Hai Tumse” (2006) and “U R My Jaan” (2011).
