Sayeed Quadri is a new age lyricist in Bollywood who brought back Urdu poetry into Hindi songs in a significant way.
Though he met Mahesh Bhatt in the eighties, Bhatt wasn’t in a position to extend him an offer then. But Sayeed Quadri’s luck turned when Bhatt invited him to work on “Jism” (2003). He rose in Bollywood with movies like “Paap” (2004), “Murder” (2004), “Kalyug” (2005), “Zeher” (2005), “Woh Lamhe” (2006), “Gangster” (2006), “Bhool Bhulaiyaa” (2007), “The Train” (2007), “Life In A Metro” (2007), “Kismat Konnection” (2008), “Jannat” (2008), “Raaz - The Mystery Continues” (2009) and “Murder 2” (2011).
