Trivia

  • The synth interlude in this song is similar to the tune of Gershon Kingsley's "Popcorn". Another Hindi film song, "Abhi Abhi Thi Dushmani" ("Zakhmee", 1975), used a very similar interlude. It is not known if Anu Malik based his interlude on the original "Popcorn" or the inspired song from "Zakhmee". Anu Malik also used this tune for the mukhda of the song "LML Baba LML" ("Haathkadi", 1995).[1][2][3]
  • The tune of the saxophone solo in the interlude of this song was used in three other Anu Malik songs - in the second interlude of "Aa Zara Mere Hamnasheen" ("Poonam", 1983), in the chorus in the prelude of "Aap Ka Chehra Aap Ka Jalwa" ("Tahalka", 1992) and for the mukhda of "Tu Fiza Hai" ("Fiza", 2000).[4][5][6]
