Trivia

    Album

  • This film was a remake of the Kannada film "Kokila" (1977), director Balu Mahendra's first film. Interestingly, while the music in the Kannada film was music composed by Salil Chowdhury, who primarily worked in Hindi films, the music of this film was composed by Ilaiyaraaja, who primarily worked in South Indian films.

    Song

  • Naina Bole Naina - Ilaiyaraaja had originally used the tune of this song for the Tamil film song "Kaatril Enthan Geetham" ("Johnny", 1980).[1]
  • Thodi Khushiyan Thode Gham (Meri Zindagi Teri Zindagi) - Ilaiyaraaja had used the tune of this song earlier for the Tamil film song "Kaathal Oviyam" ("Alaigal Oivathillai", 1981).[2]
  • Monday Toh Uth Kar - Ilaiyaraaja reused his Malayalam composition "Thumbi Vaa Thumbakudathin" from the movie "Olangal" (1982) for this song. He used the same tune in several other film songs in various languages, including the Hindi film song, "Gumm Summ Gumm" ("Paa", 2009).[3][4]
  • Hona Hai Toh - Ilaiyaraaja had used the tune of this song earlier for the Tamil film song "Pothi Vacha Malliga Mottu" ("Mann Vasanai", 1983).[5]
