- This was the second film produced under the Guru Dutt Films banner after Guru Dutt's death in 1964. The film was produced by his sons, Tarun Dutt and Arun Dutt, and directed by his elder son, Arun Dutt. Prior to this film, Guru Dutt's younger brother, Atma Ram had produced and directed the film, "Shikar" (1968), after Guru Dutt's death. Tarun Dutt and Arun Dutt would go on to produce one, last film under the banner - "Khule-Aam" (1992).[1][2]
