- This was the last film produced by the Guru Dutt Films banner. Guru Dutt's sons Tarun Dutt and Arun Dutt produced the film and it was directed by the younger son, Arun Dutt. They had earlier produced the film "Bindiya Chamkegi" (1985), which was directed by Guru Dutt's elder son, Tarun Dutt.[1]
- It was reported that Tarun Dutt, who was directing this film, committed suicide during its production. His brother, Arun Dutt, was said to have completed the film.
