Album

• This was writer, director Siddique's remake of his own hit Malayalam film of the same title that was released the previous year. It was his only Hindi film.
• The music for this film was originally supposed to be done by Pritam. In fact, he even composed a song for the film. However, during the film's making, he was replaced by Himesh Reshammiya on Salman Khan's recommendation. This was Himesh's first film with Salman after "Kyon Ki - It's Fate" (2005). After a successful run between 1998 and 2005, in which the two had collaborated in ten films, they had fallen out and stopped working with each other. This film marked Salman and Himesh's patch-up.[1][2][3]
• At Rs. 22 crores, the marketing budget of this film was reported to be the highest in the Hindi film industry till then. The film's production company, Reel Life Production, made a deal with Reliance Entertainment for Rs. 64 crores, giving them co-producer status and an equal share of the film's revenues for perpetuity.[4]
• This was the first film in which Alvira Agnihotri - actor Salman Khan's sister and producer Atul Agnihotri's wife - was credited as a producer.
• An important plot point of this film involved actress Kareena Kapoor disguising her voice while talking to Salman Khan's character over the phone. Kareena's lines over the phone were delivered by her sister Karishma Kapoor.
• This was actress Hazel Keech's debut Hindi film.
• This was actress Vidya Sinha's last Hindi film.
• After starting his career as a director, and later producer, Rajat Rawail debuted as an actor in this film.

• Teri Meri Meri Teri Prem Kahani Hai Mushkil - The mukhda of this song was based on the Romanian Christmas carol, La Betleem.[5]
