  • This was the directorial debut of Feroz Abbas Khan, a well-known playwright and director of plays.
  • Director Feroz Abbas Khan's inspiration for this film came from a true story related to him by the former police commissioner of Mumbai, Satish Sawhney. One of the earliest cases Sawhney had handled involved a dispute around the religious identity of a man who had died in an accident. Religious leaders and groups had tried to claim him as their own, resulting in the breach of public peace.[1]
