Trivia

    Album

  • This was P.N. Arora's last film as a producer and director. It was a remake of his first film as a producer, "Pugree" (1948), which in turn was an adaptation of the Hollywood film "It Happened on 5th Avenue" (1947).[1]
  • Helen's association with producer P.N. Arora had begun with the film "Hoor-E-Arab" (1955). Despite their significant age difference, Helen and Arora had entered into a relationship and had lived together in the period between the late 1950s and the early 1970s. Helen broke off with Arora sometime after this film's release. The actress got married to writer Salim Khan in 1980. The two had known each other since the 1960s.[2]
