Trivia

    Album

  • This film was shot in English. A version dubbed in Hindi was released for non-English-speaking audiences.[1]
  • An NGO filed a petition in the Delhi High Court seeking to have the word "Fanny" removed from the film and its title. The petitioner claimed that the word was vulgar and questioned the 'UA' certificate awarded to the film. The NGO asked for a stay on the film's release till the matter was resolved. The court did not find merit in the petition and quashed it, clearing the way for the film's release.[2]
  • There were news reports that the Censor Board had asked director Homi Adajania to remove a shot in which Deepika Padukone's character says "I am a virgin". The director had pushed back on the ruling stating that the line was present in the film's trailer which the Board had already cleared. The Board relented and certified the film without this cut.[3]
  • This was French musician Mathias Duplessy's first film as a music director.

    Song

  • Fanny Re - Another version of this song titled "Mahi Ve" was recorded for the film.
  • Shake Your Bootiya - This was a bonus song that did not feature in the film. It was used in a promotional video for the film. The video featured the film's actors performing a dance choreographed by Shiamak Davar.
