Trivia

    Album

  • The release of this film was delayed. It was completed in October 2012 and it was certified and its music released in December 2012. The film itself was released in January 2013.
  • There were plans of changing the title of the film to "Kaam: The Official Story" but the filmmakers reverted to the original title eventually.[1]
  • The film depicted a case of sexual harassment in an advertising agency. To lend its scenes authenticity, the film was shot extensively in the offices of the ad agencies Leo Burnett and Grey Worldwide. However, the agencies did not want to be associated with the film given its subject and asked that they not be mentioned in the film's credits. In 2018, when the #MeToo campaign rocked Indian workplaces, the advertising industry was one of the worst-hit by allegations of sexual harassment.[2][3]
  • This was actress Rehana Sultan's first film in many years. Director Sudhir Mishra possibly offered her the role to help her out at a time when her husband, filmmaker B.R. Ishara, was critically ill. Ishara died in July 2012, a few months before the film's release.[4]

    Song

  • Inkaar Theme (English) - The theme song for this film was based on an English poem penned by director Sudhir Mishra. This lyrics for the Hindi version of the theme were written by Sameer.[5]
