Trivia
- Producer, director Rajkumar Kohli used the title of this hit film for a film he directed in 2002. The plot of that film was taken from another of his films, "Nagin" (1976).[1][2]
- The release of this film was delayed when the Censor Board refused to certify it, citing its "horrific" content. Filmmaker Rajkumar Kohli filed a petition against the Censor Board in the Bombay High Court and won the case. While the film's audio records were issued in 1978, the film was released in 1979 and went on to become a big hit.
- Rajkumar Kohli managed to assemble a large ensemble cast for this film with several leading actors of the time appearing in the film in cameo roles.
