Jatin - Lalit had composed one of the songs in this film as the title song for "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" (1995). However, it was decided to drop the song since it was felt that it would be compared with Ravindra Jain's "Le Jayenge Le Jayenge" ("Chor Machaye Shor", 1974). Jatin - Lalit later used that tune for this film.[1][2]
Song
Pehli Pehli Baar Jab Pyaar - The tune of the song's mukhda was adapted from the hit song "Born To Be Alive" (1978) by the French singer Patrick Hernandez. Bappi Lahiri recorded the Hindi film song "Bom Mat Maarna Bhai" ("Aman Ke Farishtey", 2003) based on the same tune.[3][4]
Ek Dil Tha Paas Mere - The tune of this Jatin - Lalit song was taken from the Hindi film song "Ek Dil Mera Kanwara" ("Bhai Ka Dushman Bhai", 1986), composed by Mandheer - Jatin. Mandheer - Jatin was the partnership between Jatin Pandit and his elder brother Mandheer Pandit. This duo later dissolved, and Jatin partnered with his younger brother, Lalit Pandit to form Jatin - Lalit.[5]
