Trivia

    Album

  • The film was a remake of the Telugu film "Bratuku Teruvu" (1953). The Telugu film was also remade in Tamil as "Naan Yen Pirandhen" (1972).
  • This was among the earliest Hindi films to feature end credits.

    Song

  • Chanda Ko Dhoondhne Sabhi Taare Nikal Pade - Even though he sang the first two lines of the song, Mohammed Rafi was not credited for it when the film album was originally released.
  • Aap Mujhe Achhe Lagne Lage - Lata Mangeshkar won her last Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer for this song. She declined to accept the award after this in order to accommodate other singers. She did make an exception in 1994, when she accepted the Filmfare Special Jury Award for her work in the film "Hum Aapke Hain Koun" (1994), for which she sang 11 of the 14 songs.[1][2]
