Trivia

    Album

  • This was director Deepak Shivadasani's spiritual successor to his film "Julie" (2004). Its release was held up when N.R. Pachisia, the producer of the 2014 film, filed a copyright infringement case against the makers of this film. He claimed that he held the rights to make sequels to "Julie" (2004) and that Shivdasani had not taken his permission to make the sequel. The makers of this film asserted that their film had nothing to do with Pachisia's but its release was cleared only after they monetarily compensated the producer.[1][2]
  • This was South Indian actress Raai Laxmi's first Hindi film in a lead role. She had debuted in Hindi films earlier with a role in "Akira" (2016).[3]
  • It was rumoured that the film was based on the life of actress Nagma. Nagma responded to the rumours by saying that the makers of the film were using her name to generate publicity.[4]
