Trivia

    Album

  • Chitra, already hugely popular in the South, made her debut in Hindi films by singing most of the songs in this film.
  • This was South Indian actress Revathi's Hindi film debut.
  • This film was a remake of the hit Telugu film, "Prema" (1989). The heroine of this film, Revathi, had played the same role in the Telugu original as well. The climax of the film was changed in Hindi for a happy ending. The songs of this film were either direct copies of the songs in the Telugu film or inspired by them.

    Song

  • Saathiya Tune Kya Kiya - This song was an uncredited copy of Ilaiyaraaja's blockbuster hit, Telugu film song, "Eenade Edo Ayyindi" ("Prema", 1989) sung by the same two singers, S.P. Balasubramaniam and Chitra.[1]
  • Aaja Aaja Give Me A Kiss - This song was plagiarised from Ilaiyaraaja's Telugu film song "Ivvu Ivvu Oka Muddu" ("Prema", 1989) sung by the same two singers, S.P. Balasubramaniam and Chitra.[2]
  • My Love Meri Priyatama - This song is partially inspired from Tamil song "Poove Sempoove" composed by Ilayaraja for Tamil film "Solla Thudikkuthu Manasu" (1988).
  • We Are Made For Each Other - This song featured prominent product placements and endorsements for several brands - Garden Sarees, Vimal Suitings, Colgate, Old Spice, Nivea, Sun Umbrellas, Thums Up, Amul Shrikhand, and Coldarin.
