Trivia

    Album

  • The film was based on the true-life story of Charles Sobhraj, the French serial killer of Indian lineage. He is said to have committed more than twenty murders in the 1960s and 1970s. The film was told from the perspective of Amod Kant, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Delhi when Sobhraj was lodged in the Tihar jail. Randeep Hooda, who played Sobhraj in the film, was advised by Kant to not meet the criminal. However, Hooda did meet him at the Kathmandu jail where he was serving a life sentence. Sobhraj told Hooda that he had tried to stop the film from being made but didn't succeed since its makers had taken the story's rights from Amod Kant.[1][2]
