Trivia

    Album

  • This film was a remake of the Tamil film "Mundhanai Mudichu" (1983) written and directed by K. Bhagyaraj. The Tamil film was also remade in Telugu as "Moodu Mullu" (1983) and in Kannada as "Halli Meshtru" (1992).
  • This film was launched with K. Bhagyaraj as the director and with Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role. However, when Amitabh Bachchan backed out of the film, K. Bhagyaraj also dropped out. The two eventually got together in K. Bhagyaraj's first Hindi film as a director, "Aakhree Raasta" (1986).[1][2]

    Song

  • Jab Tanhai Mein Do Badan Paas Aate Hain - The word "badan" in the song's title was misprinted as "dil" in the film's music records.
  • Gaalon Par Yeh Kaise Nishaan - The tune of this song was also used for the Telugu film song "Aa Bugga Meeda" ("Vajrayudham", 1985) composed by Chakravarthy and sung by S.P. Balasubramaniam and S. Janaki. K. Raghavendra Rao, the director of this film, also directed "Vajrayudham" (1985) and used similar visual themes in both song sequences. Since "Vajrayudham" (1985) was certified in July, a month before this film, it is likely that the tune was originally composed by Chakravarthy and reused by Bappi Lahiri.[3]
