- This film was produced by actress Padmini Kapila's home production P.K. Productions. Her mother Rani Kapila was credited as the film's producer. This was Padmini Kapila's only film as a director. The film was in the making for a few years. When Shashilal Nair, the original director of the film, left it midway, Padmini Kapila took over, made changes to its title and cast, and took it to completion.
