- Ram Gopal Varma's original vision for this film was to release it in two different versions - "Galti Se" and "Jaan Boojh Ke". One in which the husband kills his wife accidentally and the other in which he does so intentionally. Before the Hindi film was released, the producer had released the "Jaan Boojh Ke" version in Telugu - "Madhyanam Hathya" (2004). When the Telugu film and its promotion triggered outrage in the public, Ram Gopal Varma decided to play it safe in Hindi and released only the "Galti Se" version, i.e. the version in which the death is accidental.[1]
