  • This film was based on the true story of Jessica Lal, a Delhi-based model who was shot in 1999 at a New Delhi restaurant by Manu Sharma, the son of senior Haryana Congress leader Venod Sharma. While Jessica Lal and her family members' names were retained in the film, the other characters bore fictitious names.
  • This was Myra Karn's acting debut. Myra had known director Raj Kumar Gupta for some time before this film. Struck by her resemblance with Jessica Lal, he had pursued her to play the character of Jessica in the film till she had given in. Karn and Gupta continued to be close friends after the film and eventually got married in 2018.[1][2]
  • This was actor Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub's debut Hindi film.
  • This film was certified in December 2010 and its music was released the same month. However, the film was released in theatres in January 2011.
