- The makers of this film claimed it to be the first Indian film on menstrual hygiene. They criticised the makers of "Pad Man" (2017) for staking a claim on this distinction. They also accused the CBFC of being partial to "Pad Man" (2017) by granting it a 'U/A' rating while this film was rated 'A'. Both films were inspired by the life of the social entrepreneur Arunachalam Muruganantham. However, "Pad Man" (2017) had his approval as the "official" adaptation of his story.[1][2]
