Sajid - Wajid made their Hindi film debut with a song in this film. Their first full-fledged film album, "Baaghi" (2000), came later.[1]
Music director Himesh Reshammiya started his Hindi film career with two songs in this film. His first full-fledged Hindi film album was "Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge" (2000).[2]
This was the first film in which brothers Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan acted together. It was also the first time they worked together in a film directed by their youngest brother Sohail Khan. The three brothers would team up again for the film "Hello Brother" (1999).[3]
The film's title was probably inspired by a popular song from the film "Mughal-E-Azam" (1960). A film of the same title was released in 1963.[4][5]
Song
Tum Par Hum Hain Atke Yaara - Tanishk Bagchi recreated this song for the film "Pagalpanti" (2019).[6]
Chhad Zid Karna (Tujhe Pyar Hai Mujhse) - This song was an adaptation of the hit track "Lal Lal Bulleyan" by Taz - Stereo Nation. This tune was also used in the song "Meri Jaane Jaana" ("Mohabbat", 1997) by Nadeem - Shravan.[7][8]
O O Jaane Jaana - This was debut Hindi film song of singer Kamaal Khan. He had actually composed, written and produced this song in 1996. His song was released in the UK and had become a big hit. However, he was not credited for the film version of the song. The lyrics of the film version were adapted from the original but re-written by Sameer.[9][10]
