Trivia

    Album

  • This was part of the "Sarkar" series of films by Ram Gopal Varma. The other films in the series were "Sarkar" (2005) and "Sarkar Raj" (2008).[1][2]
  • There were plans to make this film in the late 2000s. However, Ram Gopal Varma announced in 2009 that it was being shelved and that his "screen relationship with the Bachchan family" was over. The film was revived years later but without Abhishek Bachchan who was part of the first two films in the series.[3][4]
  • Writer Nilesh Girkar took the makers of the film to court for denying him credit and compensation for his work on it. After reviewing his submissions, the Bombay High Court ruled in his favour and ordered that credit be given to him for the film's story. The court also asked the filmmakers to pay Girkar a fee of Rs. 6.2 lakhs for his work.[5]

    Song

  • Sarkar Trance - The film's end credits listed Ravi Shankar as the song's music director but the audio release credited Niladri Kumar.
