Trivia

    Album

  • This film was a big hit and was remade in Kannada as "Krishna Nee Begane Baro" (1986) starring Vishnu Vardhan and in Telugu as "Tene Manasulu" (1987) starring Krishna.
  • Saawan Kumar followed up this film with the similarly themed "Souten Ki Beti" (1990).[1]
  • Prem Chopra's line in this film - "Main woh bala hoon jo sheeshe ko patthar se todta hoon" - became very popular. A similar line had been used earlier in other Hindi films. Jeevan had used the line, "Main woh bala hoon sheeshe ko patthar se tod doon", several times in the film "Chandni Chowk" (1954). Jeevan's delivery of this line in the film was in a singing voice. Raj Kapoor also used the same line in the film "Sangam" (1964) in the scene in which he meets Rajendra Kumar after returning from the war.[2][3]
