• This was a sequel to "Vishwaroop" (2012). It was made simultaneously in Hindi and Tamil. The film was also dubbed in Telugu and Malayalam. The non-Hindi film versions were titled "Vishwaroopam II" (2018).[1]
• The film was a long time in the making. It was originally scheduled to be released in 2014. However, it remained in a state of limbo for a few years with its post-production work pending. This was due to the financial issues faced by its co-producer Aascar Ravichandran. Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International eventually took over the film's production and released it in 2018.[2][3][4]
• South Indian music director Mohamaad Ghibran made his Hindi film debut with this bilingual film.
