Kshitij Tarey is a playback singer in Bollywood.
Hailing from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, he moved to Mumbai in 2002 to pursue a career in playback singing. He has for teachers Mahesh Chand Sharma and Pandit Bhavdeep Jaipurwale. He began his training in music at the age of four.
He received his big break in Bollywood in 2007 through lyricist Saeed Quadri. His debut in Bollywood came with the song “Tose Naina Lage” in the film “Anwar” (2007). It went on to become a huge hit. Following this success he sang “Madno” and “Zameen-O-Asmaan” in Rahul Dholakia’s “Lamhaa” (2010) which also became superhits.
Music directors whom he has worked with include Mithoon, Toshi Sabri, Sachin Gupta, Sharib Sabri, Amit Trivedi and Bappi Lahiri. He has also sung in movies like “The Train” (2007), “Dus Kahaniyan” (2007), “123” (2008), “Dev D” (2009), “Murder-2” (2011) and “Will You Marry Me?” (2012). He has even collaborated with the international band, “Outlandish”.
