Shruti Haasan (born 28 January 1986) is an actress, singer and music composer and is the daughter of movie stars Kamal Haasan and Sarika. She has worked in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films.
Her first song was composed by Ilaiyaraaja for her father’s 1992 film “Thevar Magan”. She was then six years old. In Hindi, she sang “Jaago Gori” in “Chachi 420” (1997) which was directed by Kamal Haasan. In 2000, she sang both the Tamil and Hindi versions of the song “Rama Rama” in the film “Hey Ram”.

In Bollywood, she sang the song “Aazma (Luck is the Key)” composed by Salim-Sulaiman for the movie “Luck” (2009). “Hisss” (2010), the Mallika Sherawat starrer saw Haasan associate with music director Dave Kushner for the song “Beyond the Snake” for which she also penned the lines.
Her career in music direction began in 2009 with her father’s production “Unnaipol Oruvan”. In 2012, she sang “Kannazhaga-The Kiss of Love” in Aishwarya Dhanush’s directorial debut “3”.
