Trivia

  • The tune of this song was plagiarised from the debut single of the pop band Linear, "Sending All My Love", released in 1990. Another Hindi film song was based on the same tune - "Naa Hai Zamin Na Aasman" ("Khel", 1992).[1][2][3]
  • The mukhda of this song was used by Anu Malik's nephew, Amaal Malik, for the hook lyrics of the song "Maine Tujhko Dekha" ("Golmaal Again", 2017). Anu Malik was unhappy that Amaal did so without taking his permission. Amaal's response to this was that they didn't need Anu Malik's permission since they had purchased the rights from the copyright holders of the original song on which his song was based. He also stated that he had tried calling Anu Malik several times but his uncle had not returned his call.[4][5]
