- This song was an adaptation of "I Want To Hold Your Hand" (1964) by The Beatles. Shammi Kapoor and four dancers on the stage donned wigs mimicking the hairdo of the members of The Beatles. Among the four dancers, the one on the extreme right was the dancer and choreographer Oscar Unger. They were joined on the screen by the members of a band called Ted Lyons & His Cubs, who appeared in several Hindi film songs in the 1960s. The band was founded by the drummer Terence "Ted" Lyons, the son of an Irish man and Arab woman who had settled down in Bombay. Lyons appeared as the drummer in the song. His sister Edwina also appeared in many Hindi films as a dancer. "Jaan Pehchan Ho" ("Gumnaam", 1965) was another popular song in which the members of Ted Lyons & His Cubs performed.[1][2][3]
