Singer Thakur Desai took the name of his son, Vinod, as his screen name for this song. He used this pseudonym in another song - "Beta Jag Janwaron Ka Mela" ("Anjali", 1957). The singer's identity was uncovered in the December 2022 edition of the Listeners' Bulletin, published by Har Mandir Singh 'Hamraaz'. Desai sang a couple of other Hindi film songs but hid his identity since he was employed with the police at the time. He remained uncredited in "Teriya Teriya Teriya Totari Teriya Do Jaan Ausne Jo" ("Chalis Baba Ek Chor", 1954) and was credited simply as Thakur in "Dil Ki Umangen Hain Jawan" ("Munimji", 1955).[1][2][3]
