- The tune of this song was taken from the song "Ee Paadam", composed by S.P. Balasubramaniam and sung by his sister S.P. Sailaja, from the Telugu film "Mayuri" (1985) on which this film was based. Laxmikant - Pyarelal won the Sur Singar Samsad's Best Classical Composition in a Film Award and singer S. Janaki won the Best Classical Singer in a Film Award for this song. According to S.P. Balasubramaniam, he felt that he should have been credited for this song in the film, but he didn't begrudge Laxmikant - Pyarelal their award.[1]
