Trivia
The song had a few lines sung by Asha Bhosle. However, the film's music records wrongly credited Usha Mangeshkar for them.
The song featured two interesting vocalisations. The song opened with a rhythmic breathing vocalisation that may have been the precursor to the one R.D. Burman used famously in "Duniya Mein Logon Ko" ("Apna Desh", 1972). The interlude after the first antara featured a vocalisation inspired by Harry Belafonte's in the song "Day-O (Banana Boat Song)". Both these vocalisations were performed by a male singer. Only Manna Dey was credited for the song but the vocalisation may have been performed by another singer, possibly R.D. Burman himself.[1][2]
