According to the Hindi Film Geet Kosh, based on information received from music director O.P. Nayyar, the song was sung by the Pakistani classical singers Ustad Amanat Ali Khan and Ustad Fateh Ali Khan. However, musician Bhavdeep Jaipurwale attributes the song to his grandfather Pandit Laxman Prasad Jaipurwale and Ustad Niaz Ahmed Khan.[MR1]
