This song was added to the film after the film's shooting had been completed. Composers Nadeem - Shravan and lyricist Sameer felt that the film was missing a title song with Salman Khan in it. Sameer wrote the opening verse and Nadeem - Shravan composed the tune right there and then. Producer Sudhakar Bokade was not keen on recording the song since he was not sure if he would be able to get dates from Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit. However, when the music team insisted, he allowed the recording to be done. On hearing the song, he decided to include it in the film and got an agreement from Salman and Madhuri to shoot for it. The song was shot over seven hours the very next day.[1]
The film's director, Lawrence D'Souza, made a cameo appearance in this song just before the second stanza.
