  • This film had a number of scenes and songs patched in from the footage of unreleased films acquired by the producers. The canned films included were "Bahurupiya" (1964), "Khuda Gawah" (1970), "Reporter" (1960), "Maya Mandir" (1961), "Shikwa" (1954), "Jahan Mile Dharti Akash" (1962), "Sajan Ki Galiyan" (1968), "Sasta Khoon Mehanga Pani" (1964), "Ek Tha Chander Ek Thi Sudha" (1970), "Picnic" (1960), and "Yeh Basti Yeh Log" (1958). The film was dedicated to the artists behind unfinished films like these. The dedication read, "This film is dedicated to indomitable spirit and passion of those thousands of cine artistes and technicians whose films remain unfinished - ambition unrealised, dreams unfulfilled and careers unlaunched.".

  • Yeh Chehra Yeh Zulfein - This footage used for this song in this film was originally shot for the film "Duniya Ka Mela" (1974). However, it was canned when Amitabh Bachchan, on whom the song was shot, was replaced by Sanjay Khan and the song was re-shot. The song itself was not included in the audio release of this film.[2]
  • Lambi Lambi Kaali Kaali Zulfen Bikhra - This song was originally recorded and its film sequence was shot for the shelved film "Ek Tha Chander Ek Thi Sudha" (1970).
