Trivia

    Album

  • This film attributed its "Story Idea" to M.K. Indira. While not explicitly credited, the film's story was adapted from Indira's Kannada novel "Gejje Pooje". Director Puttana Kannagal had also adapted this novel for his 1969 Kannada film with the same title.
  • This was Padmini Kolhapure's first film in a lead role. She had worked as a child artist and played supporting roles prior to this film.
  • This was the first film of Shashi Kapoor's son Kunal Kapoor in a lead role. He had worked in films as a child artist previously.
  • Prince Charles had visited the studio in which this film was being shot. When Padmini Kolhapure had found about it, she had broken through his security cordon and kissed him publicly. This incident was heavily reported in the media.
  • "Zamaane Ko Dikhana Hai" (1981) was the first film Padmini Kolhapure had signed in a lead role. However, the film was delayed and was released only after this film.[1]
  • This was Padmini Kolhapure's second film with director Esmayeel Shroff after "Thodisi Bewafaii" (1980). It was reported that they had a major falling out during the making of this film and never worked together again.[2]
  • This was the second of the three films directed by Esmayeel Shroff for which Khayyam composed music. The other two films were "Thodisi Bewafaii" (1980) and "Dil Akhir Dil Hai" (1982).[3][4]
  • This was the first of the three films in which Nanda played Padmini Kolhapure's on-screen mother. The other films were "Prem Rog" (1982) and "Mazdoor" (1983).[5][6]
