Trivia

    Album

  • This was Hrithik Roshan's first prominent appearance in a Hindi film. He was around 12 years old at the time. He had earlier worked in small, uncredited roles in "Aap Ke Deewane" (1979), "Aas Paas" (1980) and "Aasha" (1980).[1][2][3]
  • The director of this film, J. Om Prakash, was the father-in-law of actor and producer Rakesh Roshan. It was the only film directed by him whose title did not start with "A".
  • This was the last time Rakesh Roshan played a lead role in a film produced by him.
  • The producer of this film, Rakesh Roshan, became very disillusioned by the failure of this film and came close to quitting the film industry. He then decided to try his hand at direction with this next film "Khudgarz" (1987). Its success turned his career around and established him as one of Bollywood's premier directors.[4][5]

    Song

  • Pahli Baar Dil Jala Mujhe Pyar Ho Chala - This song was adapted from the song "Self Control" (1984), performed by Raffaele Riefoli, aka Raf, and written by Raf, Giancarlo Bigazzi and Steve Piccolo. This tune was also used in other Hindi film songs - Bappi Lahiri used it in "Mujhko Kehte Hain Romeo" ("Muddat", 1986), Naresh Sharma in "Tere Siva Mere Siva" ("Fateh", 1991) and Anu Malik in "In The Night No Control" ("Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi", 1996).[6][7][8][9]
