Trivia
- Gulzar's first film releases as a lyricist were in 1960. This was one of the three films for which he wrote lyrics that year, the other two being "Choron Ki Baraat" (1960) and "Shriman Satyawadi" (1960). The lyricist was credited as Gulzar Deenvi in these films. His second name Deenvi was derived from his birthplace Dina in Pakistan. While these three films along with "Kabuliwala" (1961) and "Prem Patra" (1962) were his first released films, Gulzar had written "Mora Gora Ang Laile" ("Bandini", 1963) earlier. Work started on "Bandini" (1963) in the late 1950s but it was a long time in the making and was released only in 1963.[1][2][3][4][5]
