Trivia

    Album

  • This film was adapted from the English-language short story "Mobius Trips" written by Mukul Sharma. Sharma, who made a career as a journalist and writer, had debuted as an actor almost thirty years ago in the Hindi, Bengali bilingual film "Parama" / "Paroma" (1985) directed by his wife at the time, Aparna Sen. Mukul Sharma and Aparna Sen's daughter Konkona Sen Sharma played one of the lead roles in this film.[1][2]
  • Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms produced a TV show called "Ek Thhi Naayka" to promote this film. 16 episodes of the TV show were aired on Life OK in the weeks leading up to the film's release.
  • This was writer Kannan Iyer's directorial debut.

    Song

  • Yaaram - Vishal Bhardwaj had always wanted to compose a song that evoked the mood of one of his favorite Gulzar songs "Mera Kuchh Saamaan" ("Ijaazat", 1988). He eventually did compose such a song for a non-film album, "Locket" ("Boodhe Pahadon Par", 2006), sung by Suresh Wadkar. While "Locket" was from a man's perspective, this song presented the woman's point of view.[3][4][5]
  • Yaaram - This song sequence showed actor Emraan Hashmi reading a book called "Neglected Poems". The book's selection for this song was not an accident. It happens to be a book containing lyricist Gulzar's poems translated to English by writer Pavan K. Varma.
