• This was the fourth film in producer Sajid Nadiadwala's "Housefull" comedy franchise. While the films in the series had unconnected plots, all of them had large ensemble casts with two lead actors in common - Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh.[1][2][3]
• The film's director Sajid Khan was replaced by Farhad Samji in October 2018 while the film was still in production. The change was done after a few women accused Khan of sexual harassment. Actor Nana Patekar also quit the film after actress Tanushree Dutta accused him of sexual misconduct. He was replaced by Rana Daggubati.[4][5]

गीत

• बाला बाला शैतान का साला - The song was based on the song "Bala" by Tony Montana Music. It was reported that it took six months for the makers of the film to procure the original song's remake rights.[6][7]
• द भूत सॉंग (भूत राजा बाहर आजा) - The song reused the mukhda of the Hindi film song "Bhoot Raja Baahar Aa Ja" ("Chacha Bhatija", 1977). The original song was composed by Laxmikant - Pyarelal, written by Anand Bakshi, and sung by Asha Bhosle. The recreated song also adapted a riff used in the Telugu film song "Ammadu Lets Do Kummudu" ("Khaidi No. 150", 2017) composed by Devi Sri Prasad.[8][9]
