Trivia

    Album

  • This was the directorial debut of the writer duo Sajid - Farhad.
  • While the film's songs were composed by Sachin - Jigar, its background score was credited to their A&R platform White Noise Productions which had debuted earlier with a song in the film "Dishkiyaoon" (2014).[1]
  • The makers of the film had wanted a one-word title for it but since "Entertainment" had already been registered by another producer, they had settled for "It's Entertainment". They were eventually able to acquire the rights for the title they had originally planned, resulting in a title change a few weeks before the film's release.[2]
  • The Censor Board certified the film with a lot of changes. The name of Johny Lever's character was changed from Abdullah to Habibullah. There were several humorous scenes in the film involving the mispronunciation of this character's name. Since the name Abdullah has significance in Islam, the Censor Board felt that these jokes may offend the community. Sajid - Farhad had to make last-minute edits in the film to effect this name change. In another scene, the word HIV was muted since the Board felt that the usage was inappropriate. Additionally, a shot in which Akshay Kumar's character was shown throwing a trishul was removed fearing blowback from the Hindu community.[3]
  • The film had humorous references to many Hindi films. One of these references was to the film "Karan Arjun" (1995). The characters played by Prakash Raj and Sonu Sood were named Karan and Arjun and the song "Yeh Bandhan Toh" ("Karan Arjun", 1995) was used in a few scenes involving them.[4]
