Trivia

    Album

  • This film was a remake of the Tamil film "Payanangal Mudivathillai" (1982). The theme music used in the opening credits of the Tamil original, which had the same tune as the song "Ilaiya Nila" ("Payanangal Mudivathillai", 1982), was reused in the Hindi remake.

    Song

  • Neele Neele Ambar Par (Male) - This song was an uncredited adaptation of Ilaiyaraaja's Tamil film song "Ilaiya Nila" ("Payanangal Mudivathillai", 1982), sung by S.P. Balasubramaniam. While Kalyanji - Anandji used the tune of the Tamil film song's mukhda, the tune of the antara was original. The film's title music, however, was a faithful interpretation of "Ilaiya Nila". The next year, Ilaiyaraaja used the tune of Kalyanji - Anandji's "Kasme Vaade Pyaar Wafa Sab" ("Upkaar", 1967) for his Tamil film song "Kanavu Kaanum" ("Neengal Kettavai", 1984). Some believe that he did so to get back at Kalyanji - Anandji for using his composition without his permission. It is more likely that this was a mutually agreed-upon exchange of tunes.[1][2][3]
  • Neele Neele Ambar Par (Male) - Sunil Kaushik and Ramesh Iyer played the guitars in this song.
  • Mera Pyar Mujhse Rootha - Producer, director L.V. Prasad made an on-screen appearance in the film for this song.
  • Surajmukhi Mukhda Tera - Music director Bappi Lahiri and lyricist Indeevar made a cameo appearance in the film for this song.
